Today I updated the libTLC54x. The update includes a fix with the timer and brings Doxygen documentation to the sources. For more information look at LibTLC54x or visit the project homepage at http://libtlc54x.sourceforge.net/.
The Compaq Armada M700 (and also M300, V300, E500, E500S and Prosignia 170 and 190) has a build in PXE (Preboot eXecution Environment) Boot ROM for the internal Intel EtherExpress Pro 100 NIC (Network Interface Controller). This ROM is ok, if you only want to network boot from (the very stupid) TFTP Daemon. But what to do, if you want to netboot from i.e. HTTP or iSCSI? Yes right, you need gPXE.
Attention: As I only call an Armada M700 my own, I can't say, if this HowTo is working with the other compatible models, too.
In this HowTo, I show you, how to replace the original PXE ROM Image in the Compaq Armada M700 with the gPXE ROM Image generated with rom-o-matic, because the original "Burning gPXE into Intel EtherExpress cards" won't work with the Compaq Armada M700.
Now some of the good bad news. We need wine and dosbox to run some of the programs described in this HowTo. The good news is, that we don't need Windows to follow this HowTo.
I'm happy to announce, that we have a new Linux User Group in town. After a short introduction at Pro-Linux (a german Linux Portal), we had many response some new members.
If you are from Hildesheim, Germany, and if you are interested in a local Linux Community, than start over and have a look at www.hilug-ng.de.
If you plan to build a Debian-Kernel-Package for a 32-Bit (i386) on a running 64-Bit (x86-64) system, than you don't need to install a 32-Bit i386 Crosscompiler. All you need is the make-kpkg script, that is included in the kernel-package Debian-Package from the Debian-Repositories.
Please help us to save the little animals on your monitor (Monitortierchen) and visit Monitortierchen.
Today I replaced the old ViewVC interface with the updated WebSVN from http://www.websvn.info/. The new interface is multilingual and looks better than the old one. It also offers the ability to search for log entries.
So have fun with the new easy to use svn interface :-).
I'm happy to announce, that the SVN repository is back online now. I know it tooks a bit longer than planed, but there was a lot of other work to do first. So that's it, for now.
SVN-Webinterface: https://svn.dynamic-core.ath.cx/
As I setup a new server I didn't had the time to bring back the SVN (Subversion) repositories back online. This will be done in the next few days after getting a new SSL-Certificate for the new domain.
News will follow after the repository is back.
The Dynamic-Core (once known as the Dopehouse) is back with a new homepage. At the moment only the Software-Section is backported from the old page. The old Counter-Strike Source Server-Setup and WRT54G-Revival guides will be ported back in the next few days.
Thank you for looking at Dynamic-Core!
